Dear HTC Travellers
Easter is quickly approaching, and it has been a different start to the year for Highfields Travel and Cruise.
Ainsley has been working remotely from WA and Vicki has been holding down the fort at the office.

We thought it was time to send out a communication to all of our beautiful clients to update you on the status of the business, and the next phase of our Covid-19 management plan.

It has now been over a year of closed International borders, and it is evident that there is still a long way to go with International borders remaining closed for some time yet. In light of this, and after 12 months of navigating our way through the impact of Covid 19 on our business and the travel industry at large, we have decided to vacate the retail space at the end of our lease and reposition the business.

This is just another part of our business management plan and we are implementing this strategy so that when the International borders open, and our domestic borders remain open consistently we can continue to be here looking after our loyal clients and the community. This change was to be at the end of June, but our landlords who have been so supportive of us throughout this time have offered us the opportunity to leave earlier as they have found new tenants to move into our shop which will be a wonderful addition to our Highfields community.

In light of this, Thursday, April 1 will be our last day of trading in the shopfront at the Highfields Village Shopping Centre before we move to our new business format. Moving forward we will be operating the business from our home offices, and working in a virtual capacity, otherwise known as a mobile or home-based agency.

Remaining in the retail space is not a sensible business move with our industry facing such a significant downturn in sales across the board. We will revisit returning to a shopfront locally here in Highfields when there is more certainty in border reopenings.

The business remains fully operational, and we will continue to work on making new bookings for you to travel within Australia, planning future travel around the world, managing the credited bookings that are in place, and of course, chasing the refunds that remain outstanding.

The phone number you can call us on remains the same: 07 4615 5499 but will not be monitored every day. If it doesn’t answer leave a message or send us an email and someone will call you back as soon as we can.

Vicki will also be available for face to face catch ups by appointment and will be available for coffee appointments at Kerb each Wednesday morning between 9.30 am and 11 am.
